The “Carol’s Kitchen” brand of products are offered in memory of one of our great friends and employees. Carol Myers became part of the Main Street Meat Co. family in January 2014. She brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in “good home cooking” that was acquired from previously running the A Frame restaurant (Durand, Illinois) for many years, as well as her passions for cooking. Carol also had the gift to teach others around her, and did so in our organization as well. She always said, “butter and bacon always make it better”! Carol passed away August 18, 2016, but her mark on our lives and our business will always remain.
Many of our prepared products were initiated from Carol’s passion and wisdom. Her teaching has enabled us to continue offering great entrees to our customers. Our hope is that customers purchasing our products will know that there is more to it than something that tastes goods. It represents a great person’s legacy. To help continue Carol’s legacy, Mains Street Meat has established fundraising opportunities for non-profit organizations. These opportunities will feature many of Carol’s food creations as well as our own. Additionally, we have established a fund, which donates to local non-profit group as well as culinary scholarships. The fund accumulates monies based on the sales of ‘Carol’s Kitchen” fundraising products.
